This AIFD collection at the Pakistan Fashion Week 2 took inspirations from an unusual source.
In the midst of the disarray that surrounds us, this collection aimed to oppose the grief and chaos and depicted serenity through the simplicity of cuts and the purity of color. The whole collection of AIFD was predominantly in shades and depths of white, off-white and ivory. The fabrics used vary from sheer georgettes to flowing satins. To the designers, white depicted purity, calm and unity. The use of volume engulfs all construction elements such as drapes, pleating and layers. If another word could be used to describe the collection ‘serenity’ would be it.
