Lahore: Insignia Shoes, Pakistan’s leading luxury footwear and leather accessories brand, is proud to announce the launch of “Walk A Mile In Her Shoes,” in collaboration with Hello! Pakistan. The announcement came during the exclusive launch event, held at the historic Faletti’s Hotel in Lahore on 29th April, 2014.
Insignia Shoes, a UK-registered premium brand, has been catering to the luxury footwear demands of Pakistani women for the past three years. As a brand that believes in providing only the very best in products and service to its consumers, Insignia understands that the path to success may often be challenging, especially for women. It was from this mindset that the seeds of the “Walk A Mile In Her Shoes” campaign were sown.
“Walk A Mile In Her Shoes” highlights Women of Substance. It celebrates women who have made a mark in their respective fields, emerging as incredible role models for society. The campaign will secure firsthand narratives from these inspirational women, talking about their struggles, their successes, their passions, and all the factors that contributed to make them who they are today. These narratives will be shared as an exclusive interview each month with Hello! Pakistan, Pakistan’s best selling fashion and lifestyle magazine.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Huzaifa Siddiqui, CEO Insignia Shoes, said: “We live in a society that perceives women in so many diverse ways. We see the contemporary roles being played by women in households, and we see this distinguished group that has set an example for all of us. I hope that this campaign, in which these women will share their experiences, provides valuable lessons for those women who have yet to come to the forefront. I am confident that it will consequently catalyse the process of women’s empowerment across Pakistan.”
The launch event revealed the first five women for the “Walk A Mile In Her Shoes” campaign, including actor, host and social activist, Nadia Jamil; cosmetics guru and the brains behind South Asia’s first beauty brand "Luscious Cosmetics", Mehrbano Sethi; litigator and Director at the Justice Project Pakistan, Sarah Belal; the owner of iconic furnishing and interior design brand "Indesign", Ghazala Rahman; and renowned retired High Court Judge, Justice Nasira Iqbal.
The campaign seeks to inspire young women to pursue their dreams and share their stories. Zahraa Saifullah, Publisher Hello! Pakistan, added, “We are looking forward to this collaboration with Insignia Shoes. I personally feel that this campaign will prove to be a forerunner for others to follow. Moreover, I believe it will serve as an optimum platform to not only honour these renowned personalities, but also urge woman of our society to learn from the experiences of these extraordinary women.”
