A popular stage performer, Sumbul, was shot dead in Mardan city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to our correspondent, the Pashto theater actress was killed by unknown armed men after she refused to perform in a local private event.“The men wanted to take Sumbul along but later they fatally shot her when she refused to join an event,” a police official said.
According to media reports, the men had barged into her house in Sheikh Maltoon Town in Mardan. Eyewitnesses claimed that the men attempted to abduct Sumbul. FIR of the incident was registered and police started investigation. – Samaa
