Renowned Pakistani Sufi and folk singer, Sanam Marvi, has publicly announced her separation from her third spouse, Khubaib Qureshi.
While Marvi chose not to disclose specific details about the split, she asserted her autonomy in personal matters, stating that it is her prerogative to decide whom to marry and how many times.
Prior to this, Marvi had been married to Hamid Ali, a union from which she sought separation after alleging that he had subjected her to abuse. Marvi and Ali have three children together. After her relationship with Ali ended, it was unveiled that Marvi had quietly married Qureshi.
In a surprising turn of events, on March 27, Marvi sought another divorce, citing allegations of abuse from Qureshi and expressing her desire to terminate their marital union.
The divorce was finalized by Family Court Judge Ujala Amber on July 7, and the paperwork was issued on July 18.
